If you suffer from back pain, the fear of doing something that might make your back hurt is always on your mind. This fear can overshadow everything you do. This pain and fear can also lead to frustration and tension between partners. It can even affect your sex life. This happens all the time, but it doesn’t have to.

After back surgery or a back injury, pain or the fear of pain often lessens the desire for sex in both partners. In time, your recovery will allow you to return to many of your everyday activities, including sex. However, while you’re healing, it’s still possible for you to have sex. But you must learn ways to control your pain and you must be careful not to hurt yourself.
