Vascular Surgeon. A vascular surgeon is a medical doctor who performs operations on the vascular system, or arteries and the veins. This also includes surgeons who can be called cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiovascular surgeons, general thoracic surgeons, and congenital heart surgeons.
